Joe Sullivan Sextet
Joe Sullivan’s 3rd sextet album was released in 2009. With his soul brothers André Leroux and Jean Fréchette adding their own personal touches, the trumpeter’s compositions and arrangements shine. Adding the outstanding rhythm section of André White, Alec Walkington and Dave Laing to the mix is just the icing on the cake. This unaffected, straightforward music, created simply for the joy of playing and hearing excellent home-grown jazz, will surely delight his many fans.
